TIMELINE

• May 1st, 2006 - We made the most important decision of our lives. We are to welcome a little angel into our lives. We will go as far as possible or reach out our arms to find her. We will adopt from China...
• May 9th, 2006 - We sent our Adoption Application to GWCA.
• May 10th, 2006 - We were approved by GWCA to adopt. Yeah!!!
• May 12th, 2006 - Sent in GWCA contract.
• May 12th, 2006 - My birthday!, we had our homestudy done in our home. Had to leave work rush home and make sure the house was cleaned, Bellagion had not done one of his infamous destructions and that Cleo had not been seating on the chair where Bonnie, our Social Worker, will be seating. Yikes!
• May 17th, 2006 - We mailed in all the documentation requested by our Social Worker, Bonnie, for our Home Study
• June 16th, 2006 - Our Home Study was finalized and sent to Pam, our wonderful Dossier specialist.
• June 19th, 2006 - Sent all dossier documentation to Pam.
• June 21st, 2006 - Sent our I600A to Kathy of our Miami USCIS office
• June 28th, 2006 - Received our fingerprinting appointment for July 5th.
• July 5th, 2006 - Fingerprinting done in Davie, Broward county.
• Aug. 29th, 2006 - Miami USCIS office requested passport copies and changes in the HomeStudy.
• Sept. 8th, 2006 - Got the revised Home Study.
• Sept. 14th, 2006 - Sent revised Home Study and copies of passports to Miami USCIS office.
• Sept. 19th, 2006 - Received our I171H, our authorization by the United States Government to adopt our angel from China... Major milestone in the process...
• Sept. 20th, 2006 - Our dossier was finalized by Pam and sent to GWCA.
• Sept. 29th, 2006 - DTC!!! (Dossier To China) Our dossier was sent to China!!!
• Oct. 26th, 2006 - LID!!! (Logged in Dossier) Our dossier was logged in. Let the countdown begin.... We are officially Paper Pregnant!!! we are done with all the paperwork and now we just have to wait and wait and wait....
• Wait time as per the latest rumors is about 16 to 18 months!!! by calculation, since we were LID Oct 26 then we are to get our referral February or March 2008!!! yikes!!! we are hoping for the best
