Not that we needed another excuse to celebrate since the LIDversary should have been enough, we threw a Halloween Party to get together with friends and family.... This year we behaved so the pictures are all g-rated.... But now that we got more trinkets than ever we can't guarantee we'll behave as good next year.... Enjoy...

Increiblemente llego el ano!!! un ano de espera pero no el final.... Realmente si contamos los meses de tramites desde el 12 de Mayo de 2006 que fue que dimos el primer paso es 1 ano y 5 meses.... ufff y todavia nos faltan quizas otro ano mas. Tratando aqui de que no nos desmoronemos de los nervios, las ansias y la pena de no poder tener a nuestra angelito en nuestros brazos seguimos llenando nuestros pensamientos y preocupaciones en esta pagina web... Asi que disfruten y cuentenos que les parece hasta ahora... alguna pregunta??? Nuestros amigo Lisa y Brian celebraron su LIDversario el 19 de Octubre asi que hicimos un pequeno intercambio de regalos y aqui estan las fotos del trajecito de "ladybugs" y un juego de te de porcelana, Mili??? te acuerdas??? tambien con el motivo de "ladybugs" realmente una preciosura. Gracias Lisa y Brian!!!

Incredible, it's been a year of wait but not the end... In reality if we count the months previously to our LID,we started our paperwork the week of May 12, 2006 1 year and 5 months ago! and we'll probably have to wait another year or so. So trying to not to fall apart with nerves, anxities and sadness that we still can't hold our little angel in our arms we keep filling up this space with our thoughts and worries, so please enjoy and let us know what you think.. do you have any questions for us? feel free to ask away....Our friends Lisa and Brian celebrated theirs on October 19, 2007 so we exchanged gifts for the celebration....These are pictures of the beautifl one piece outfit full of ladybugs and a "ladybug" tea set they gave us to mark the date... Last CCAA update

In other words, families with LIDs on and before August 31, 2006 have left the "review room" and now are in the "referral room" which means they are done with the process and now are waiting to get their babies referrals.

Also, families with LIDs on or before November 30, 2005 have now received referrals for their little ones. Congratulations to all of these families...

We are still in the "pending rewiew" stage and it looks like we might be in the "review room" in a couple of months....

Introducing the new member of our family RICKY

Ricky was found at by the nurses at my doctor's office. He was wet, cold and very very hungry and thirsty. I only took one look at him to melt my heart and welcome him to the Frost household... He is now 3 months and the healthiest, happiest kitten in Broward county...

Our Secret Buddy Revealed....

We finally know! She's come forward, our Angel Secret Buddy has revealed herself. It is a pleasure to finally introduce our Secret Buddy to all our family and friends, Amy Darlington. Dear Amy, although it was short lived, the Secret Buddy exchange has been one of our best adoption experiences and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts all your beautiful gifts for our Madison as well as those gifts you sent for Bellagio and Cleo. Thank you so much. Here are the last gifts we received from you we can't wait to see Madison play with the ducky on the surf board! and can't wait till we could take her to the beach so she could explore it with all the beach tools you sent her. And the dress and shirt sooo cute....and the butterflies... they'll be part of her room...Thank you thank you!... If you have a website, can you email me?? To everyone else enjoy!

• 73 referrals for dossiers with LID August 24, 2005
• Matching process for dossiers registered through August 25, 2005
• Review process completed for dossiers registered through January 31, 2006.
• Experienced a little over 14 months wait.

Dec. 4, 2006:

• 39 referrals for dossiers with LID August 30 and August 31, 2005. All girls including one set of twins
• Matching process completed for dossiers registered through Sept. 8, 2005
• Review process completed for dossiers registered through January 31, 2006
• Experienced a 15 month wait.

Our Secret Buddy is the best

This time we received the most thoughtful gifts ever... A spinner with butterflies and ladybugs (you know us already!), we also got two panda bears, (one of them has music) and then you did no leave out our two babies, "Bellagio" (our yellow lab" and "Cleo" (our cat)... they both got a gift each. Bellagio got a tug of war w/a ladybug which I can't seem to bring myself to give it to him!!! and probably never will, it's just too adorable and a crunchy toy for Cleo which I hide only for her because if Bellagio sees it it will become his.... Chinese New Year starts with the New Moon on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon 15 days later. The 15th day of the new year is called the Lantern Festival, which is celebrated at night with lantern displays and children carrying lanterns in a parade.
The Chinese calendar is based on a combination of lunar and solar movements. The lunar cycle is about 29.5 days. In order to "catch up" with the solar calendar the Chinese insert an extra month once every few years (seven years out of a 19-yearcycle). This is the same as adding an extra day on leap year. This is why, according to the solar calendar, the Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year.
New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are celebrated as a family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving. The celebration was traditionally highlighted with a religious ceremony given in honor of Heaven and Earth, the gods of the household and the family ancestors.
The sacrifice to the ancestors, the most vital of all the rituals, united the living members with those who had passed away. Departed relatives are remembered with great respect because they were responsible for laying the foundations for the fortune and glory of the family.
The presence of the ancestors is acknowledged on New Year's Eve with a dinner arranged for them at the family banquet table. The spirits of the ancestors, together with the living, celebrate the onset of the New Year as one great community. The communal feast called "surrounding the stove" or weilu. TIMELINE

• May 1st, 2006 - We made the most important decision of our lives. We are to welcome a little angel into our lives. We will go as far as possible or reach out our arms to find her. We will adopt from China...
• May 9th, 2006 - We sent our Adoption Application to GWCA.
• May 10th, 2006 - We were approved by GWCA to adopt. Yeah!!!
• May 12th, 2006 - Sent in GWCA contract.
• May 12th, 2006 - My birthday!, we had our homestudy done in our home. Had to leave work rush home and make sure the house was cleaned, Bellagion had not done one of his infamous destructions and that Cleo had not been seating on the chair where Bonnie, our Social Worker, will be seating. Yikes!
• May 17th, 2006 - We mailed in all the documentation requested by our Social Worker, Bonnie, for our Home Study
• June 16th, 2006 - Our Home Study was finalized and sent to Pam, our wonderful Dossier specialist.
• June 19th, 2006 - Sent all dossier documentation to Pam.
• June 21st, 2006 - Sent our I600A to Kathy of our Miami USCIS office
• June 28th, 2006 - Received our fingerprinting appointment for July 5th.
• July 5th, 2006 - Fingerprinting done in Davie, Broward county.
• Aug. 29th, 2006 - Miami USCIS office requested passport copies and changes in the HomeStudy.
• Sept. 8th, 2006 - Got the revised Home Study.
• Sept. 14th, 2006 - Sent revised Home Study and copies of passports to Miami USCIS office.
• Sept. 19th, 2006 - Received our I171H, our authorization by the United States Government to adopt our angel from China... Major milestone in the process...
• Sept. 20th, 2006 - Our dossier was finalized by Pam and sent to GWCA.
• Sept. 29th, 2006 - DTC!!! (Dossier To China) Our dossier was sent to China!!!
• Oct. 26th, 2006 - LID!!! (Logged in Dossier) Our dossier was logged in. Let the countdown begin.... We are officially Paper Pregnant!!! we are done with all the paperwork and now we just have to wait and wait and wait....
• Wait time as per the latest rumors is about 16 to 18 months!!! by calculation, since we were LID Oct 26 then we are to get our referral February or March 2008!!! yikes!!! we are hoping for the best

How it all started... In one of the Wonders of the World!!!

Joey and I met online at love@aol on January 2000 believe it or not but most of you already know that and for the first time in person March 2000 at a Italian restaurant called "Portofino's in Forest Hills, NY (where we are both from). We dated for about six months and in September 2000 we went to Lima, Peru, where I'm originally from, so that he could meet my family. We decided to go to Macchu Picchu the city of the Incas for a couple of days and it's there, to my surprise and joy that he proposed to me. We got married in May 2001 and in July 2002 moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida where we've settled in quiet nicely.

Well, today we finally decided to start our Blog. Can't lie but from the very first time I heard the word "blog" was intimitated. Here we are.... Will post dates and all the goodies later.
